World’s first coronavirus reinfection case confirmed in Hong Kong, a university study reports

Researchers from the University of Hong Kong said they had confirmed what is believed to be the world’s first known case of a Covid-19 reinfection on August 24,2020. The 33-year-old man from Hong Kong was found to have contracted the coronavirus again, four and a half months after his first confirmed infection in March when he was treated and later discharged. The man had travelled to Spain in August, and returned to Hong Kong via London before his second infection was discovered.

Baby Born to COVID-19 Infected Parents Visit Medical Workers at Wuhan Hospital

A 6-month-old baby boy visited medical workers on the Chinese Doctors’ Day Wednesday at the hospital where he was born and cared for after his parents were infected with the novel coronavirus in Wuhan, the capital of central China’s Hubei Province.

Xiaoshiliu, which means little pomegranate in English, was born at the Tongji Hospital of Wuhan Huazhong University of Science and Technology on Feb 3. University Students Return to Campus in Wuhan

The first batch of students returned to universities in Wuhan, a city hit hard by the COVID-19 in central China’s Hubei Province, on Saturday for a new semester, after an eight-month break.

Once returned, the students must register with their real names when entering or leaving campus. Students are also advised to stay on campus unless there is necessary business outside the campus, and the students must get a permission for a leave and report their leave, routes, and means of transportation if they must leave campus.
